THEY CAME FROM MANY LANDS!!
I saw this exhibition at the top of the world trade centre in 2000. What struck me at the time was the sheer volumes of people who travelled to the “new world” leaving poverty and persecution behind them.
After arriving at Ellis some stayed in New York others still had great distances to travel with their families, aunts, uncles and the few possessions they could carry with them.
